Aline Drivdahl
Fairhaven, MA
This cross-stitch illustrates various aspects of harvesting the fruits of the sea. Aline Drivdahl had reason to commemorate the Norwegian fishing trade. Her father left Norway in 1930 to seek work in Massachusetts. Like many Norwegians in the New Bedford and Fairhaven area, he found employment in the fishing industry. The cross stitch is a reminder of what brought her family here.
